Its beads were chosen for that same fresh, oceanic tone, bright without being harsh, echoing shallow water lit by afternoon sun. Sachiko says the sea has always felt like the opposite of her workshop — vast where her work is small, restless where her craft demands stillness — and yet she has always found comfort in both. This piece carries a small piece of that coastline with it, wherever it travels next.

After 30 years of quietly crafting jewelry in Kyoto, I've decided to retire.
For most of my life, I've quietly handcrafted jewelry in Kyoto, believing that the things we wear should carry meaning, not simply follow trends.
As I begin a new chapter in retirement, I'm releasing the last pieces from my workshop. Once these collections are gone, they will never be made again.
